The 6 Cool Dog Leashes Every Dog Wants to be Seen Wearing

Dog-E-Glow Light up LED Collars

The urge started in middle school for me. The urge of having to own the newest and coolest “things” out there—shoes, gadgets, you name it! Many years later, this urge has manifested itself into pet parenthood.

So, what are the six coolest, urge-satisfying leashes on the market today? Here’s what we got!

1. Found My Animal’s Rope Dog Leash

Ahoy, Matey! This nautical-themed leash just screams class and sophistication. It’s the perfect blend of durability and style.

The marine-grade, hand-spliced rope is then hand dyed and crafted in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. It was built to withstand thousands of pounds of pull and because it’s marine-grade, lots of wear and tear.

On each of Found My Animal’s leashes, you will find an individually-numbered, stamped tag. Why, you might ask?

That’s to remind us as pet parents that our dogs are truly unique and for Found My Animal to keep track of how many pets they have helped so far.

The pet adoption-focused brand was, and no surprise here, inspired by a fisherman, a founder’s family member. The two founders met on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, where they were both walking their dogs.

After they realized they both attended great design schools—Cooper Union and Rhode Island School of Design—and were passionate about animals, animal welfare and good design principles, they knew they had to work together.

As a result, Found My Animal was born! In addition to this cool leash (that can be found in a variety of other colors), Found My Animal also makes great collars, harnesses, and accessories.

2. Mungo & Maud’s Preppy Dog Lead

The name says it all; this leash is for the prepsters. The creators of the Mungo and Maud brand is a husband and wife team, Michael and Nicola Sacher.

The married duo hit the nail right on the head when they describe their work,“the collection has a creative and understand edge, using an innate sense of color and a strong use of natural materials.”

The cool leash is absolutely gorgeous and is made from the finest striped webbing with calf leather trim.

You make a statement when you walk out with this clipped onto your dog’s collar. Let’s just say your dog will be walking a little taller, and with good reason!

The couple opened its first store right in the heart of London in May 2005. Since then, they have been leading the charge with this new edgy concept in the pet space.

Not only do they make other things outside of leashes for dogs, including: beds, bowls, toys, treats, and much, much more—they also make a variety of things for cats.

Yes, guys, cats are cool, too!

3. Zeedog Dog Leash

Leopard on leopard on leopard! This cool leash radiates the vibe Zeedog is putting out. These guys are all about connecting dogs and people. And we’re not just talking about a connecting a cool leash and a collar, but in bringing people and their pets together.

The creators of Zeedog were tired of walking into pet store after pet store and not seeing any accessories they could identify with. They were forced to live with buying the least ugly thing on the shelf. That’s when they knew there needed to start a brand that brought life to the boring pet industry.

One of the best features of this cool leash, outside of its eye-popping colors and design, is it’s patented zinc alloy hook. The hook is corrosion free, it swivels 360 degrees, and can be engaged and disengaged from your dog’s collar with ease.

I like to say it was designed with the pet parent in mind!

If you want to swag out with your dog, you should check out all of Zeedog’s products, but especially this cool leash.

4. Ruffwear’s Knot-a-Long

Simply said, Ruffwear makes incredible, durable products. They could not be more true to their name. The thing that makes this cool leash incredibly unique is it’s length. It’s 30 inches (2 ft. 6 in.), which makes handling your four-legged bundle of energy very easy.

The big, industrial-looking secure carabiner is a huge plus as well.

At Ruffwear, it’s all about being outside. Their mission is to build performance products that enhance and inspire outdoor adventures for dogs and their pet parents.

They know you want to bring your dog with you everywhere and Ruffwear wants to give you the tools to do just that. That includes backpacking, skiing, fishing and more.

Their products are built to withstand the beating that goes with being outside.

You know this company is intense when they make life jackets designed for your dog! But, this cool leash is a good place to start.

5. Stunt Puppy’s Stunt Runner

Okay, a little bit of a disclaimer first: if you don’t like running with your dog, this probably isn’t the leash for you. But, if you do like running with your dog, keep reading because your perfect leash is here.

The versatile, flexible, and comfortable “Stunt Runner” is a hands free leash that was built for runners. Every detail of this leash was thought out.

The one thing I want to highlight is the flexible connector piece. This helps absorb slight variations in stride, so that you, nor your dog, will get pinched or pulled.

This cool leash is truly a game changer.

Ken Goldman started Stunt Puppy in his basement. It then went out to all the neighborhood dogs, and now it’s on PawedIn (Yes, that’s a big deal!). Runners, go get this cool leash!

6. Dog-E-Glow’s LED Dog Leash

Stop, don’t adjust your screen! This cool leash is really lighting up. That’s what Dog-E-Glow is known for. They create light up dog leashes (plus other products), to help keep you and your furry friend safe.

The LED lights can be seen from up to 1,000 feet away. That’s longer than 3 football fields.

Their patented design is also weatherproof. So, rain or shine, Dog-E-Glow is a GO!

If you want your dog to be a star (literally, light up like one), and keep safe during the night, don’t look any further than this cool leash.

Also, if you’ve used one of these leashes, make sure you add it to your dog’s PawedIn Profile. It’s okay to show off!
