ADHDog, does it sound familiar? Well, maybe not yet, but soon enough their interactive pet products will be changing the lives of many pet parents.
ADHDog is a new company on the brink of bringing diverse products geared to change the way you feed, train and exercise your pooch.
ADHDog currently has two products: the “ADHDog Automated Feeder” and and “The Climber’s Leash.”
The “ADHDog Automated Feeder” allows pet owners with hyperactive dogs a chance to wear their pups out a little more. The small automated feeder feeds, trains and exercises dogs all at once. How’s that for multitasking?
So How Does It Work?
Everything starts with a push of a button from ADHDog’s mobile app; that button activates the feeder, making an audible “beep” alerting your dog that their scrumptious kibble is ready.
When your dog has finished eating his food, the system will automatically select another button at random to activate—lights and “beeps” and all.
Your dog being the curious creature that he is, will need to hunt down the button and press it to turn it off.
Once the button is pushed, the dog feeder “beeps” once more and more dog food is dropped into the bowl.
The feeder makes your dog work for their food while simultaneously training and forcing them to mentally challenge themselves.
Founder and developer, Sean Lander, knows first-hand how a hyperactive dog can rule the house; his dog, Sheldon, is as hyperactive as they come.
Sheldon goes on rampages where he will race around Lander’s home—so much so that actual tracks have begun to appear in the carpet.
Unfortunately, walks just don’t wear Sheldon out enough. Lander had a problem.
Sheldon loves agility training, but Lander and his wife live in a small apartment without a backyard, leaving them with limitations.
It got to the point that at the end of the day to tire Sheldon out, his desperate owners began hiding his food and making him do tricks before he was fed.
As Lander tells, “since I’m a programmer by trade, one thing led to another, and out popped ADHDog!”
ADHDog’s Feeder will come with two buttons in the default kit, these 3D-printed, rechargeable-buttons are completely dog safe: they’re non-toxic, vegetable-based, and made with PLA plastic. These buttons can be hidden on the box or anywhere within the room.
They light up, make noise, and generally just drive the dog a little wild until they can find them, and since the buttons are moveable, the dog won’t be able to learn and remember where the buttons are each day.
With this being said, it’s best to hide the buttons closer to each other than further away.
ADHDog is intended to exhaust your dog mentally, while giving him a little bit of physical exercise.
However, certainly not enough exercise for owners to be concerned about Canine Bloat.
The automated feeder is currently still in prototype phase as an app is being developed, but will be ready soon!

The Climber’s Leash
ADHDog’s second product was inspired by Lander’s and his wife’s love of rock climbing. During the winter or bad weather, the Landers weren’t able to go rock climbing, but they still wanted to exercise and strengthen their grip.
Hence, the Climber’s Leash was born.
The Climber’s Leash is designed to keep climbers’ hands fit when the weather conditions are unsuitable. Essentially, the dog walker holds the leash with a grip that forces you to hold the leash with your hand constantly flexed.
You may be thinking, what if my hand gets tired? Can my dog run away from me while on this leash?
Well, no worries there!
The Climber’s Leash was designed with the idea of “losing the dog” at the forefront of every prototype and discussion. The end result was a design that allows the dog walker to “tweak” the support the leash gives.
If your dog is an exuberant, little speedball that you need a little extra help wearing out, both of ADHDog’s products will fit your needs.
Whether at home or out in the park, ADHDog has you, and your hyper-energetic pup, covered.
